We are looking for an engaged caretaker and park worker for our arena and park operations during the holiday period (mid-April to mid-October). We offer a varied job in an organization with a broad operation, short decision-making paths, and high engagement. We are driven by the desire to challenge, develop, and support children, young people, adults, and the elderly, create quality of life, and promote community development. Everything we do is done with heart and care.

For our arena and park operations, we are looking for a driven and self-sufficient caretaker and park worker who wants to contribute to pleasant outdoor environments, safe playgrounds, well-maintained sports facilities for an active leisure time, and assist with transportation and caretaker services when needed. The role includes contact with all our operations, which consist of preschool, nursing home, library, sports field, swimming and sports hall, as well as youth center and club.

As a caretaker and park worker, you will participate in all tasks related to daily maintenance and upkeep. Examples of tasks include grass and shrub trimming, maintenance of soccer fields and exercise tracks, transportation, repairs, renovations, and handling of purchases and deliveries.

In this role, you will be a spider in the web and a visible employee who conveys our values regarding a sense of coherence, faith in the future, and care for others. As a caretaker, you will keep the operations running, solve practical problems when they arise, and facilitate for others.

Our operations are centrally located in Tillberga in Västerås.

Job Responsibilities

· Park and green area maintenance

· Transportation

· Maintenance of sports facilities

· Indoor and outdoor maintenance

· Repair and maintenance of tools and machines

· Handling of purchases and deliveries

· The role includes some administration, but the majority of the work is daily operational management as a caretaker and park worker in the team

Your Qualifications

· You are a cheerful, positive, and energetic person with a strong sense of service.

· You are a team player with great drive and can handle many different tasks simultaneously.

· You enjoy having many daily contacts with colleagues, children, residents, and athletes.

· You act attentively and sensitively to your surroundings to contribute to a good atmosphere and good cooperation with other operations.

· Since the work is physically demanding, it is important that you have good health, mobility, and a solid physical foundation.

· You are a fixer who prefers to see solutions rather than problems.

· You hold a B driver's license.

· You have basic IT skills and can handle common office software.

· You are fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.

· Chainsaw training is a plus.

· Experience working with tractors/loaders.
